ALLIANZ FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIVISION ONE
Kerry v Dublin (tonight, Austin Stack Park, 7pm live on eir sport 1 & RTÉ 2)
THEY may no longer have Jason Sherlock on their coaching team, but Dublin looked back to themselves in last week’s win over Galway, having lost out to Monaghan on the opening day. Kerry blew hot and cold at times against Cavan, only coming on strong after the break. They’ll need to be at it for the full 70 tonight to take the two points.
Odds: H: 9/4 D: 15/2 A: 1/2
Verdict: Dublin
Mayo v Cavan (tonight, MacHale Park, 7pm live on eir sport 2)
CAVAN need to get some points on the board fast, but that is unlikely to happen tonight.
Odds: H: 1/4 D: 10/1 A: 4/1
Verdict: Mayo
Roscommon v Tyrone (tomorrow, Dr Hyde Park, 2pm, deferred coverage on TG4)
TYRONE tend to react when their backs are to the wall. Defeat would be a disaster, but I just fancy the Red Hands to pull it out of the fire.
Odds: H: 7/4 D: 15/1 A: 8/13
Verdict: Tyrone
Monaghan v Galway (tomorrow, Inniskeen, 2pm, live on TG4)
AFTER last week’s defeat to Roscommon, Monaghan can get back to winning ways against Galway, who they defeated in the Super 8s last summer.
Odds: H: 8/15 D: 15/2 A: 21/10
Verdict: Monaghan
ALLIANZ FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIVISION TWO
Fermanagh v Kildare (tonight, Brewster Park, 7pm)
LOW-SCORING Fermanagh have been unlucky not to pick up at least one win so far. However, another draw could be on the cards here.
Odds: H: 21/10 D: 7/1 A: 8/15
Verdict: Draw
Clare v Cork (tomorrow, Cusack Park, 2pm)
BOTH come into this game on the back of winless starts after two games, so a win tomorrow would be huge for one of these Munster rivals. Colm Collins will have to rejig after losing young forward Dermot Coughlan to a broken ankle just 20 seconds into their draw with Armagh in Newry. Cork boss Ronan McCarthy is without the suspended Brian Hurley, while Sean White is also unavailable.
Odds: H: 10/11 D: 15/2 A: 6/5
Verdict: Clare
Tipperary v Donegal (tomorrow, Semple Stadium, 2pm)
BOTH are missing several key men, but Donegal just have that bit more strength in depth.
Odds: H: 5/2 D: 15/2 A: 4/9
Verdict: Donegal
Meath v Armagh (tomorrow, Pairc Tailteann, 2pm)
MEATH were the better side for long spells against Donegal last week and, against a depleted Armagh side, can get the win in Navan.
Odds: H: 8/11 D: 15/2 A: 6/4
Verdict: Meath
ALLIANZ FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIVISION THREE
Down v Westmeath (tonight, Pairc Esler, 7pm)
HUGE game for Down. If they can carry on the momentum from last week’s win in Sligo, it will put them right back in the promotion picture.
Odds: H: 5/6 D: 15/2 A: 6/5
Verdict: Down
Carlow v Longford (tomorrow, Netwatch Cullen Park, 2pm)
BOTH will fancy their chances of edging into the promotion shake-up after unbeaten starts to the campaign. Longford might feel they missed an opportunity in drawing at home against Offaly last week, while Carlow could also have taken both points away from Mullingar. Turlough O’Brien’s men can edge to victory here.
Odds: H: 8/13 D: 15/2 A: 13/8
Verdict: Carlow
Offaly v Louth (tomorrow, O’Connor Park, 2pm)
LOUTH sprung a surprise by defeating Laois at O’Moore Park last week to reignite their promotion ambitions. However, Offaly showed they are no mugs when Bernard Allen’s late free earned a point in Longford.
Odds: H: 4/6 D: 15/2 A: 6/4
Verdict: Louth
Laois v Sligo (tomorrow, O’Moore Park, 2pm)
AFTER their opening day win in Newry, defeat to Louth was a body blow for promotion-chasing Laois. Sligo will be keen to bounce back from their last minute loss at home to Down, but the Leinster men look too strong.
Odds: H: 2/7 D: 8/1 A: 10/3
Verdict: Laois
ALLIANZ FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIVISION FOUR
Waterford v Derry (tomorrow, Fraher Field, 12.30pm)
DERRY to move another step closer to promotion with victory.
Odds: H: 5/1 D: 12/1 A: 1/7
Verdict: Derry
Leitrim v Antrim (tomorrow, Pairc Sean MacDiarmada, 2pm)
TWO games, two defeats, Antrim could struggle against Terry Hyland’s in-form Leitrim.
Odds: H: 4/9 D: 15/2 A: 9/4
Verdict: Leitrim
London v Wexford (tomorrow, McGovern Park, 2pm)
LONDON are propping the table up two games in and, after their impressive win over Antrim last week, Wexford are expected to inflict more pain on the Exiles.
Odds: H: 10/3 D: 8/1 A: 2/7
Verdict: Wexford
Wicklow v Limerick (tomorrow, Aughrim, 2pm)
WITH wins against London and Waterford already Limerick are sitting pretty in the fourth tier, but that could come to an end tomorrow against a Wicklow side eager to bounce back from defeat to Leitrim.
Odds: H: 10/11 D: 15/2 A: 11/10
Verdict: Wicklow
