Newry City’s Premiership clash with Glenavon, which was due to take place this evening, has been postponed following a pitch inspection at the Newry Showgrounds.
The game has been rescheduled and will now take place on Monday 2 January with a 3:00 kick off time.
Darren Mullen’s men currently sit in 10th position, five points clear of Dungannon Swifts who are just below them, despite their recent 2-0 win over Newry.
Glenavon on the other hand enjoyed a 2-1 victory over Portadown on St Stephen’s Day and currently rest five points above Newry, with a game in hand, in 7th place.
Five other fixtures are set to take place on Monday afternoon along with the rescheduled fixture as league leaders Larne take on third placed Cliftonville.
Ballymena United host Glentoran while Carrick Rangers meet Crusaders. The bottom two, Dungannon Swifts and Portadown collide on Monday while Linfield will host Coleraine.
