Holders Glentoran Women have been drawn to face Comber Rec Ladies in the semi-finals of this year’s Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup.
The Glens, who are currently leading the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership on goal difference from Linfield Ladies, will take on first time semi-finalists Comber at Seaview on Saturday August 17 (7.30pm).
Reigning league champions Linfield, who lost last year’s Women’s Irish Cup final against their Belfast rivals, were drawn to face another Belfast team, Crusaders Strikers, in the other semi-final. That will also be played on August at 7.30pm, at Clandeboye Park in Bangor.
The draw was made by Elaine Junk, chair of the Irish Football Association’s Challenge Cup Committee, and Anne Smyth of Electric Ireland.
