Two men are being treated in hospital following an assault in Dublin.

It is understood the stabbing happened in the area of a pub in the north of the city.

An argument broke out among a group who had earlier attended the funeral of Brandon Ledwidge, according to RTE.

Mr Ledwidge (23) was shot dead in a gang-related attack at his home in Finglas two weeks ago.

A Garda spokesperson said officers are investigating an alleged incident of assault that occurred in Dublin 7 at around 8pm on Wednesday.

“Two males are currently receiving medical attention at the Mater Hospital with serious injuries,” they said.

“Investigations ongoing.”
