Spencer Matthews has described the Irish audience at the live show of his and wife Vogue Williams’ hit podcast as “amazing”.
The former Made In Chelsea star appeared on Irish TV and radio star Doireann Garrihy’s The Laughs Of Your Life podcast, after appearing at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre with Williams to present the stage adaption of their podcast Spencer & Vogue! which sees the married couple debate topical issues.
Matthews, 35, said: “I don’t feel nervous before it, I just love it, I just really like it. It is really different from the podcast.
“We’re coming back to Ireland next year to the Gaiety Theatre and we’re all over the UK.
“My one reservation about it is I hope that the UK crowd is as great as the Irish crowd.”
He continued: “They’re amazing. Obviously the show is great, but they seem quite easy to please. They’re loose.”
The pair will continue touring next year, including dates at the Waterfront Hall Auditorium in Belfast and Cork Opera House in Cork in March.
Matthews said he was “thankful” for his relationship with Irish model and media personality Williams, who he married in 2018 and shares three children with.
He said: “She’s more empathetic than me. We’re both pretty busy and we just try and stay on track and support each other, I would say that we’re a great couple.
“I’m very thankful for the relationship that I have with her.
“I couldn’t be much happier with our marriage.”
When asked “who is the person you always laugh with”, he said: “Not to be boring, but I have a great time with my wife, we enjoy each other’s company I think and obviously we work together on a comedy show so we are constantly trying to make each other laugh.”
Matthews also spoke about his time on British reality show Made In Chelsea, calling it a “different dimension” to his life as a father of three and a husband.
