Gardai investigating unexplained death of man in Dublin

Gardai are investigating the “unexplained circumstances” of a man’s death which occurred in Dundrum, Dublin on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at around 11pm.

When gardai arrived, paramedics were at the scene treating the man, aged in his 50s, for his injuries. He was later pronounced dead.

The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and a post-mortem examination will now be arranged.

The body of the man remained at the scene on Wednesday morning.

The scene is currently preserved and will later be examined by the Garda Technical Bureau.

An incident room has been set up at Dundrum Garda Station under the direction of a senior investigating officer.
