Loyalist activist Jamie Bryson is to give evidence to a Westminster committee focussing on the transition of paramilitary groups.

Mr Bryson will speak to the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee on Tuesday in his capacity as director for Northern Ireland policy with the Centre for the Union thinktank.

The same MPs will hear on Wednesday from Sandhurst senior lecturer Dr Aaron Edwards and independent researcher Dr Seán Brennan

Chaired by Tory MP Simon Hoare, the committee is examining the effect of paramilitary activity and organised crime on society in Northern Ireland.

This week's sessions are focused on the "risks and opportunities of a process of engagement with paramilitary groups aimed at their disbandment".
