Sinn Féin support in the Republic has fallen, according to new poll

SINN Féin support in the Republic has fallen, according to a new opinion poll.

While it remains the most popular party, it is down four points to 31 per cent.

Fine Gael has also lost support, according to the Ipsos survey for the Irish Times, dropping four points to 18 per cent.

However, Fianna Fáil and the Social Democrats have seen a rise in popularity.

According to the in-person poll, which was conducted among 1,200 adults and carried out between June 11-13, Fianna Fáil increased its support by three points to 21 per cent.

It is the second most popular party in the Republic.

The Social Democrats are at five per cent - a jump of three points.

The Green Party and the Labour Party both remain unchanged at four per cent, while Solidarity-People Before Profit are up one point to two per cent.

Aontú is also up one point to one per cent, while Independents are unchanged at 14 per cent.
