A man who was assaulted and found unconscious at the back of a pub in Co Antrim has died.
Named locally as Paul O'Boyle, aged in his 50s, he was found unconscious on the ground around 10pm on Sunday, April 16, at the back of a licensed premises in the Main Street area of Rasharkin.
After being taken away to hospital for treatment by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, police have now confirmed he died on Monday.
Last week, a 56-year-old man was charged in relation to the incident of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Detectives from the Major Investigation Team are investigating the circumstances of the death of a man, following the report of an assault in the Rasharkin area on Sunday 16th April.

A death notice for Mr O'Boyle described him as the "beloved husband of Sarah; son of the late Gerry and Pauline; loving brother of Geraldine and Colum and a much loved uncle and friend".
Sinn Féin councillor Leanne Peacock said: “My condolences go out to his wife and the entire family circle. It’s a terrible time for the community in Rasharkin and our heartfelt condolences and thoughts are with them all at this very difficult time.”
A police spokesperson said: “Our investigation continues, and I am appealing to anyone with information, or who witnessed anything untoward, to please get in touch. Likewise, if you have captured dash cam footage, please contact officers on 101 quoting reference number 1944 of April 16.”
