SCOTTISH singing star Lewis Capaldi has announced a gig in Belfast in September.

The `Someone You Loved' singer will play Boucher Road Playing Fields on Sunday, September 3 as part of Belfast Vital.

It will be the second Northern Ireland show by the 26-year-old Glasgow star this year after he played a sell-out gig at the SSE Arena in Belfast earlier this month.

Tickets for the upcoming September show will go on sale on Friday, January 20 at 9am from ticketmaster.ie.

The Three customer 48hr pre-sale starts at 9am on Wednesday, January 18.

Belfast Vital has already announced pop heavyweights The Killers, as well as their support act, former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, for September 1.

Lewis Capaldi's upcoming show comes just months after he rocketed to the top of the UK singles chart in September with comeback single ‘Forget Me’.

HIs third UK number one quickly became Gold-certified and smashed 100 million streams globally, making him the fifth artist this year to have a single go straight in at Number 1 in its first week.
