POLICE are investigating a possible link between burglaries and attempted break-ins in Ballymena town centre.

A sum of money and a laptop were stolen during a burglary at a business premises in the town's Thomas Street sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

An attempt was made to enter another store on Thomas Street along with a nearby shopping centre.

Police say a property in Springwell Street was also entered, while an unsuccessful attempt was made to enter another business premises in the same street.

"We believe that all of these incidents took place overnight and we are investigating a possible link between them," a PSNI spokesperson said.

"I would ask anyone who has any information or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist with our enquiries to contact detectives in Ballymena on 101 quoting reference number 303 of 04/01/23."
