BELFAST is set for an epic sing-along next year as pop heavyweights The Killers have announced a major gig at Boucher Road Playing Fields.

With support from Smiths guitar legend Johnny Marr, tickets for the September 1 show go on general sale from Monday.

Still holding a claim as one of the biggest bands in the world, the grammy nominated Las Vegas group last played Belfast in 2019.

With mega hits like "Mr Brightside" and "Somebody Told Me" at their disposal, the group have sold 25 million records, a record seven consecutive UK Number 1 albums and headlined every major festival in the world including Glastonbury, Coachella and Lollapalooza.

In a statement, Belfast Vital promoters MCD added: "The Killers’ catalogue speaks for itself, and, with a new studio album in the works, fans at Belfast Vital 2023 will have a chance to see a band at the height of their powers."

Tickets will be available from ticketmaster.ie from Monday at 9am, with a 48 hour pre-sale for Three customers starting on Saturday from 9am.

To access the pre sale, fans will need to be a Three UK customer and have registered on the Three+ app before the pre-sale opens.
