TWO police officers have been injured after their vehicle was rammed by a car near the border in Co Tyrone.

A 27-year-old has been arrested over the incident which took place around 3.50am on the Tullyvar Road area of Co Tyrone.

Officers had been trying to stop a black Nissan X Trail car which was driving erratically.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “The vehicle was spotted a short time later in the Ravella Road area when it rammed into a police patrol car.

“Two police officers were treated for minor injuries following the incident."

The man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and remains in police custody at this time.

Any witnesses or those with dashcam footage have been urged to call police on 101, quoting reference 195 of October 31.
