A man has died in a road traffic collision in Newry.

Police said the man, who was in his 60s, was walking on Kildare Street shortly before 4pm yesterday when he was struck by a lorry close to traffic lights.

He died at the scene.

Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them by calling 101.
