TWO cars parked outside a house in Ballymoney have been set alight during an arson attack.

Shortly before midnight on Saturday, it was reported that the two vehicles, which were parked outside a property in the Crescent area of the town, were set alight.

Police said both cars were damaged during the incident.

It was reported that a man and a woman, both aged in their thirties and two teenage boys were inside the property at the time but were not injured.

Meanwhile, police are also investigating an arson attack on a house in the Leckagh Drive area of Magherafelt.

Shortly after 12.35am on Friday, it was reported that a wheelie bin was set against the front door of the property and set alight.

There was no one inside during the incident.

A PSNI spokesman said enquiries into the incidents "are continuing to establish the circumstances".
