A MAN who was attacked in Belfast city centre last month needed four steel plates in his jaw, police have said.

The PSNI said man was "viciously attacked" by another man between 1am and 2am close to Victoria Square on May 9.

He was treated in hospital for a broken jaw.

Police have appealed to a group of people in their twenties who spoke to the victim after the assault to get in touch with officers on 101.
