POLICE have reissued an appeal for information following the death of a 74-year-old motorcyclist in a three-vehicle crash in Co Antrim.

Tom Richardson died following the collision which occured just after 9am in Carrickfergus on November 8.

Police have urged anyone who was on the Upper Road at the junctions with the Trooperslane Road and the Upper Station Road last Monday and may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam footage, to contact them.

It comes following the death of a man in a two-vehicle collision in Co Down on Sunday.

Police said the crash, which involved a taxi and a motorcycle, happened on the Bangor Road.

The man, who was aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment, but died later.

The name of the victim had not been released last night.
