A man has been charged with attempted murder following an attack in east Belfast.
The 49-year-old suspect is also accused of possessing an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence during the incident on My Ladys Road during the early hours of yesterday morning.
As is normal procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
