A MAN has died after his motorcycle collided with a car in Co Down.
He was named by police as 66-year-old Alisdair Wallace from the Kircubbin area.
The incident took place yesterday on the Ballyblack Road East in Newtownards.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it received a call to the incident at the crossroads of Ballyblack Road East and Grangee Road at about 4:50pm.
Two rapid response paramedics, two ambulance crews, an ambulance officer and the air ambulance all attended.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second person was taken to the Ulster Hospital for treatment.
Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dash-cam footage available to contact them.
