An investigation was launched in Co Waterford last night after a number of migrants were found on a bulk cargo ship.
Crew members discovered right men hiding on board the ship, which had travelled from France to Ireland.
It was reported that the men are from Eastern Europe and are said to be in good medical condition.
Members of the immigration unit were called to Belview Port and the migrants are being processed under immigration law.
