Woman in her sixties traumatised by Co Fermanagh break-in

A woman in her sixties has been left shaken by a break-in at her home in Co Fermanagh

A WOMAN in her sixties has been left shaken after two men broke into her house and demanded money early yesterday.

The woman was sleeping in her home on Gardiners Cross Road in Maguiresbridge, Co Fermanagh, when she was woken by the sound of breaking glass at around 1.30am.

She was confronted by two men in her hall who demanded money.

The men took a bank card and a small sum of money before leaving the house.

Both men were aged around 30 and were wearing dark clothing.

Detective Sergeant Brian Reid said: "This was a terrifying ordeal and the occupant, a woman aged in her sixties, has been left traumatised."

Police appealed to anyone with information to contact them.
