Man (33) dies in prison custody
A 33-YEAR-OLD prisoner has died in custody.
The Prison Service said the man was being held at Maghaberry Prison.
He was pronounced dead in hospital this morning. His next of kin have been informed.
The Prisoner Ombudsman, police and the coroner have all launched investigations into the death.
Ronnie Armour, head of the Prison Service, said: "I would like to extend my sympathy and that of the Northern Ireland Prison Service to the family of the prisoner. My thoughts are with them at this difficult time."
