A TEENAGER is in hospital after being attacked by a gang wielding machetes during a burglary in Newry.
The gang forced their way into a property on Talbot Street shortly after 2.15am this morning and attacked the male occupant.
The 17-year-old male was taken to hospital for treatment for an injury to his nose and large cuts to his arm and leg.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact them.
