POLICE have been attacked by youths throwing bricks as they were dealing with anti-social behaviour in north Belfast.
Firefighters were also called to the scene in the New Lodge area last night after a burning bin was pushed onto Victoria Road to block traffic.
On Saturday night a 14-year-old boy was beaten by a gang in the area and sustained head injuries.
In a post on PSNI North Belfast's Facebook page, officers urged the parents of youths involved to "start taking control" of their children and to "take a drive past the Pinkerton, Carlisle and New Lodge Road areas to see if their child is one of this crowd of 20 kids that are terrorising the elderly and ill, who are terrified to leave their homes at night!"
