A man in his twenties has been shot in the foot in Poleglass, west Belfast.
Police said it happened at around 10.10pm on Sunday night in Laurelbank.
Detective Sergeant Michael Hawthorne said masked men approached their victim in an alley and ordered him to lie down before shooting him.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening, he added.
