A 41-year-old man will appear in court in Derry today on drugs charges after being arrested in England on Wednesday.
The man was arrested in the Grimbsy area as part of a PSNI investigation investigation into the supply of cocaine into Northern Ireland and was carried out with assistance from Humberside police.
A tonne of benzocaine, which can be used as a bulking agent for cocaine was seized during six searches on Wednesday.
Detective Inspector Pete Mullan from Reactive and Organised Crime said: “He is charged with encouraging or assisting offences linked to the supply of class A drugs and money laundering.”
