Police have now arrested 13 people in connection with paramilitary displays at the wake and funeral of Peggy O'Hara, mother of 1981 INLA hunger striker, Patsy.

A 39-year-old man was arrested in Claudy yesterday morning and is being questioned at Musgrave PSNI station in Belfast.

A huge dissident republican colour party accompanied Mrs O'Hara's funeral cortege in Derry in July. Unionist politicians also demanded action after three masked men in paramilitary uniforms fired a volley of shots over the coffin as it was returned to her home at Templegrove in Derry.

A police spokesman said yesterday's arrest operation was carried out by detectives from the PSNI's serious crime branch. The arrest follows the arrest of two men in Strabane last week. Both men were later released without charge.

The latest arrest brings to 13 the number of people detained. Eleven men and two women have been arrested and later released. No-one has yet been charged in connection with the paramilitary displays.
