A 63-year-old woman has been arrested after a man in his forties was stabbed in Antrim early on Friday morning.
Police were alerted to the incident shortly after 5.10am that a man, aged in his forties, had been stabbed at a property in the Firmout Drive area of the town.
“He was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment to stab wounds to his upper body area,” a PSNI spokesperson said.
“Officers attended the scene and a 63-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
“She remains in custody at this time, assisting officers with their enquiries.”

Anyone with relevant information or that has mobile, CCTV or dash-cam footage has been asked to call police on 101, quoting reference 177 for January 26.
