Tributes have been paid to a grandmother who died following a crash in Armagh on Monday.
Nora Mackin, aged in her 70s, was hit by a car near her home on the Tullynavall Road area of Cullyhanna just before 9.25am on Monday morning.
Despite emergency services rushing to the scene, including the Charity Air Ambulance, Ms Mackin died at the scene.
A family notice described her as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and that her death was “deeply regretted” by her family.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
Among many paying their respects online, she was remembered her as a “gentle soul” and “an absolute lady.”
Sinn Féin’s Newry and Armagh MLA, Aoife Finnegan, said the community “has been shocked and saddened by the tragic death of a woman.”
Her party colleague, councillor Martin Hearty, added: “Our thoughts are with the family, friends and loved ones of the lady who has lost her life in this tragic accident.”
