Police said an officer was assaulted and three PSNI vehicles were damaged following an altercation in a Co Tyrone town.
A police officer was reportedly punched on the arm while attempting to break up the fight between a group of men.
The incident took place in Railway Street area of Strabane at around 2am on Sunday.
One man has been arrested on suspicion of common assault, assault on police and disorderly behaviour. He is in police custody currently.
A PSNI spokesperson said that when officers returned to their vehicles, they found that two wing mirrors had been damaged.
A third vehicle had its number plate removed and a dent to the boot.
“One of the vehicles has had to be withdrawn while the damage is repaired, leaving one less vehicle on the roads serving the public.
“We would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the damage or who has dashcam, mobile or other footage that could assist the investigation to contact police on 101, quoting reference 206 of 31/08/25.”
