Man extradited from Poland to stand trial over alleged sex offences against children

A 59-year-old man wanted to stand trial over alleged sexual offences against children has been extradited to the north from Poland.

Officers from the PSNI’s international policing unit extradited the man on Tuesday.

He is wanted to stand trial for offences alleged to have occurred in the Newtownards area from 2010 to 2012, and will appear before Downpatrick Crown Court on Wednesday.
