A man is due in court following searches and arrests linked to the activities of the West Belfast UDA crime group.

Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force charged the 47-year-old to court following his arrest in Belfast on Tuesday.

He is charged with a number of drug-related offences, possession of a firearm and ammunition in suspicious circumstances, and possession of fireworks without a licence.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Detectives have carried out a number of raids over the last week as part of their investigation into the West Belfast UDA.
