Senior DUP figures are holding an emergency meeting today.
Sources have confirmed that the party’s chief executive and press officers have joined elected representatives for crisis talks.
One senior figure said the party needed to move quickly to plot a way forward.
The party’s communications team is not responding to calls.
The emergency meeting comes as social media accounts belonging to DUP leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson were deleted.
Mr Donaldson deleted his X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and LinkedIn accounts.
