Motorists have been warned of delays after a car fire on the M3 off-slip near York Street in Belfast.

Firefighters from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) have been at the scene this morning and drivers have been urged to slow down and approach the area with care.



Lane 1 is currently obstructed due to the incident, and delays are expected.

Trafficwatch NI said, “Belfast - Vehicle on fire M3 off slip to Nelson Street. Lane 1 currently obstructed. Please slow down and approach with care.”

The road remains open, but commuters should anticipate delays while emergency services work to extinguish the fire and clear the scene.

The cause of the fire and any potential injuries are unknown at this time.
