Man arrested after four explosive devices seized in Dublin

A man has been arrested in Dublin after four explosive devices were seized.

Gardaí made the discovery in the Ronanstown area around 3.40pm on Sunday after searching a van.

A small amount of suspected cannabis and a scrambler bike were also seized during further searches in the Ballyfermot and Ronanstown areas.

The man in his 40s remains in custody at a Dublin Garda station after being detained using Offences Against the State legislation.



The Defence Forces Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended the scene and safely removed the explosive devices.
