Investigation launched after man’s body found in Co Monaghan

An investigation has been launched after a man’s body was discovered in Co Monaghan.

Gardaí attended the scene in Dunsinare, Monaghan town, at around 7.50am on Wednesday.

The body remained on Wednesday evening and the scene was preserved for a technical examination.

A post-mortem examination is to be carried out, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.

It is understood that gardaí are keeping an open mind about the case.
