Garda investigating Tristan Sherry murder in Blanchardstown arrest two males

They are the eighth and ninth arrests made as part of the investigation.

Two males have been arrested in connection with the murder of a suspected gunman in a Christmas Eve shooting at a Dublin restaurant.

Tristan Sherry died at the scene of the incident at Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown on December 24.

Gunmen entered the restaurant and fired a number of shots, injuring Jason Hennessy Snr. He was treated in hospital but died on January 4.

Sherry, one of the suspected gunmen, was fatally assaulted after the shooting.

Two murder investigations are under way after the incident.

The two males arrested in relation to Mr Sherry’s murder were detained at Garda stations in west Dublin under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

They are the eighth and ninth arrests made as part of the investigation.
