20 jobs created as Antrim firm launches its 26th outlet

The Kerr’s Tyres Group has further strengthened its position in the automotive repair and tyre sector by opening a new superstore in Coleraine, adding to its Antrim superstore facility launched in 2019.

And it now gives group 26 points of sale in Ireland, further solidifying its commitment to providing automotive repairs and replacement products to customers across the island.

The opening will create 20 jobs in phase one across it 16 automotive bays, and there is capacity for a further 10 positions as demand increases.

The Coleraine opening represents a further strategic expansion for Kerr’s Tyres Group, enabling the company to broaden its product offering, with dedicated EV, 4X4 SUV, high-performance and motorcycle bays for customers.

Geoff Johnston, group retail manager at Kerr’s, said: “We’re excited to announce this opening, which aligns with our long-term growth strategy of operating 35 points of sale by 2026.

“The Coleraine opening not only expands our product portfolio into EV and motorcycle tyres, but also reinforces our dedication to providing exceptional quality and service to our valued customers.”

He says customers can expect a whole new experience, with the group now being versatile and well-equipped to address the diverse demands of the market.

In its last full trading year Kerr’s Tyres Group had sales of close to £15 million and posted profits of more than £400,000.
