Reminding nominees to submit their entries by Friday March 29 in the Strategic Power Connect Business Eye 2024 Sustainability Awards are Ruth Kimbley, communications director at Strategic Power Connect, and Richard Buckley, Business Eye editor

Entries close on Friday March 29 for the 2024 Business Eye Sustainability Awards in association with Strategic Power Connect.

The awards, now in their second year, recognise best practice by Northern Ireland-based businesses on the adoption of sustainable practices and progress towards a net zero economy. Last year’s winners included Wrightbus, Translink, Tobermore, Musgrave and Coca-Cola HBC.

The award judges, including RenewableNI director Steven Agnew and Irish News business editor Gary McDonald, will meet shortly after Easter to select this year’s winners.

The trophies will then be presented in front of an anticipated audience of almost 400 business guests at the Culloden Estate & Spa on Thursday May 9.

A total of 16 categories are open for entries until the end of this week. They include headline awards for the Sustainable Business Leader of the Year and Sustainable Company of the Year, as well as sectoral awards spotlighting achievement in manufacturing, tourism & hospitality, retail, packaging and transport.
