The headquarters of the Belfast Media Group have gone on the market with a £1 million price tag.

The Print Hall and the Teach Basil offices on Hannahstown Hill in West Belfast were last placed on the market in March 2019, when bids started at £750,000.

The industrial hall was used to print the Belfast Media Group’s publications, including the Andersontown News, until 2019.

It has subsequently been refitted for gym use.

The Teach Basil offices are still used for the Belfast Media Group operation, alongside a number of other businesses and groups.

Belfast Media Group is owned by ex-Sinn Féin MLA Máirtiín Ó Muilleoir.

The former Finance Minister previously went public in late 2019 announcing a search for a new investor in his media business, citing the “decline of print media and falling ad revenue”.

It was later reported that the media group was exploring the potential of redesignating as a social enterprise.

The Belfast Media Group Limited, which listed 50 staff in 2017, listed just 11 employees at the end of March 31 2023.
