Police remain at scene of 'sudden death' in Newry

POLICE are investigating after being called to the scene of a sudden death in Newry on Monday evening.
The death occurred in the Cowan Street area of the town.
A PSNI spokesperson said officers remain at the scene, adding: "Enquiries are continuing."
A spokesperson for the NI Ambulance Service said paramedics responded to a call shortly before 7pm.
Two emergency crews arrived at the scene along with a rapid response paramedic.
"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, nobody was taken to hospital," the spokesperson added.
