A woman arrested in Derry is the 15th person arrested in connection with paramilitary displays at the wake and funeral of Peggy O’Hara, mother of 1981 INLA hunger striker, Patsy O’Hara.

The 51-year-old woman was taken to Musgrave police station in Belfast for questioning early yesterday.

The arrests follow one of the biggest paramilitary displays in recent years at Mrs O’Hara’s funeral in July this year. Three masked men fired a volley of shots over the coffin when it was returned to her home while a colour party of masked men and women accompanied her funeral cortege three days later.

On Monday, a 53-year-old man was arrested in connection with the police investigation into Mrs O’Hara’s funeral. The man was later released unconditionally.

So far, twelve men and three women have been arrested across the north in connection with the police investigation.
