A SUSPICIOUS package discovered at one of the main Royal Mail sorting offices in the north was last night described as "nothing harmful" by police.

Army bomb experts, police and the Fire and Rescue Service were called to Enterprise Way in Mallusk, Co Antrim, after a package containing white powder was found.

It is believed that the package did not contain drugs.

A security alert was in place for a short period yesterday evening.
