POLICE last night released the name of the motorcylist who died following a collision with a tractor in Co Down.
Noel Campbell (46) from Rathfriland was killed in the crash in Newry on Monday.
The collision happened near Ashtree Cottages and the Rathfriland Road at around 4.30pm.
The road remained closed until around 11.30pm as police carried out examinations of the scene.
PSNI Inspector Lynsey Barr has appealed to anyone who was travelling on the Rathfriland Road this afternoon and who witnessed the collision to contact police in Ardmore on 101.
DUP councillor Junior McCrum said he wanted to "convey all my sympathies" to the man's family.
