A MAN has admitted causing damage to a Maserati car belonging to Republic of Ireland footballer James McClean.
Aaron Dalton (28) of Moss Park in Derry appeared at the city's magistrate's court yesterday where he admitted the charge which occurred on January 10 this year.
No details were given in court apart from the fact that the incident occurred when the car, belonging to the Wigan Athletic and former Derry City winger, was parked in the Creggan area. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at £950.
A pre-sentence report was requested and Dalton will be sentenced for the offence on July 24.
