Vessel rescues fishermen

THREE fishermen were rescued from the sea after their boat sank at the mouth of Lough Swilly in Co Donegal. A full-scale rescue was launched when a mayday call was sent out at 1.30pm yesterday. It is understood the men were rescued from the water off Fanad Head by another vessel which was in the area. Lough Swilly Lifeboat spokesman, Joe Joyce said the men were brought to shore and taken to Letterkenny general hospital although all three were reported to be fine.
