Death Stranding is one of the most talked about and mysterious video games currently in development for the PlayStation 4, with its all-star cast and industry legend Hideo Kojima directing.
Since first being announced in 2016, several cinematic trailers teasing the title have been released, offering glimpses of a bizarre futuristic world and some of the cast including The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus and former Bond villain Mads Mikkelsen.
And now its latest trailer, unveiled during the Tokyo Game Show, provides yet more questions than answers.
Kojima is the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, now running his own independent games development studio, of which Death Stranding is the flagship game.
But little is still known about the game’s premise or gameplay, and despite the latest trailer revealing The Last Of Us actor Troy Baker as the voice of a new character, many are still confused by what exactly is going on in Kojima’s new universe.
Increasingly convinced that Death Stranding is just going to be a series of trailers every three to six months until Kojima runs out of famous pals.

I stand by my statement that we still won't know what DEATH STRANDING really is even when it comes out and I'm fine with that.

Being unable to comprehend vast amounts of the game has become something of a games industry in-joke, and it appears that despite new character and monster reveals, gamers still need convincing on the final product.
Adding to the mystery further, the game still has no set release date.
