Never get greasy hands again - just levitate your chicken

Probably not the most practical way of eating chicken.

A group of students from Cambridge have levitated chicken.

Patrick Sylla, presenter of the video and a physics student at the University of Cambridge, told us “we’d seen levitating stuff in our practicals and thought it would be cool to eat chicken without getting greasy hands”.

They based their latest video on Pengest Munch because “we find those videos jokes,” says Patrick.

Watch as Patrick and expert Miles Stopher explain the science behind super conductivity and levitate a chicken wing on top of a small platform.

It’s pretty complex stuff, but the video has had a good reception on campus.

“The reaction has been quite big because its quite unusual compared to the stuff that other Cambridge students are doing,” says Patrick.

Another element of its success could be its star expert.

“The guy we interview in the video is just finishing his PHD so it seems pretty strange to most people that he’d make this kind of video with us,” Patrick adds.

It’s not just this epic video either. Patrick and his friends James Walden and Caspar Ramsay have set up a dedicated channel called Tell Me About to make science more accessible.
