A lack of celebrity guests and media access meant celebrations were non-existent at the muted Golden Globes awards, which took place following a year of heavy criticism.

Best Screenplay – Kenneth Branagh (Belfast)

Jamie Dornan, who starred in Branagh’s semi-autobiographical film which focused on The Troubles in Northern Ireland, lost out to Smit-McPhee for best supporting actor in film.
