TV stars Gok Wan, Davina McCall and Robert ‘Judge’ Rinder will head to London today for the glittering Attitude Pride Awards.

Now in its third year, the ceremony on Friday will celebrate people who have overcome life-changing events and those who have worked tirelessly in the third sector to support them.

Wan, presenter of Miss Naked Beauty, will host the awards, which will hand prizes to 10 people with stories that deserve to be shared.

Stars from across the showbiz industry are expected to attend, including radio presenter Nick Grimshaw, comedian Stephen K Amos, actress Harriet Thorpe and director Dustin Lance Black.

The awards have been previously graced by the likes of Sir Ian McKellen, Boy George and Lorraine Kelly.

The event will take place at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park the day before the world-famous Pride in London Parade 2017 takes over the capital on Saturday.

Darren Styles, managing director at Attitude magazine, said: “When I bought Attitude last year, and became the first gay man to own the title, I made it a priority to bring back the Pride Awards.

“Aligning our brand with the values of Pride goes to the heart of who we are, and this very special lunchtime event on the eve of – and to benefit – Pride in London gives us the opportunity to honour unsung heroes and those whose life stories – for better and worse – provide hope and inspiration to us all.

“I am beyond grateful that Sky has enabled us to make this happen. The honours are truly ours.”
